Aluminum reacts with the water (electrolysis) and accumulates calcium and lime deposits that stop the valve from opening when the pump water gets too hot. When this happens it destroys the soft internal parts inside the pump (seals, valves, unloader). Unit may require longer mounting bolts, which can be obtained from your local hardware store.
